Mission Statement
We are moms on a mission to create faith-based communities that encourage fellow mothers during their time on US Air Force bases. Graceful Gatherings exists to form close relationships, equip moms with tangible skills related to motherhood, and challenge them to apply the gospel to their everyday lives.
Values Statement
“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.”— Psalm 127:1
Christ at the Center
Jesus Christ is the foundation of all we do. Scripture, prayer, and dependence on the Holy Spirit guides our gatherings, decisions, and structure (Psalm 127:1).
Grace Over Performance
We value presence over perfection. Graceful Gatherings is a place where women are welcomed as they are, without pressure to impress, perform, or have it all together (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Genuine Community
We believe meaningful connection happens through consistency, hospitality, and honest conversation. We seek to foster safe spaces where women are known, supported, and encouraged (Hebrews 10:24-25, Galatians 6:2).
Gentle Leadership
Leadership at Graceful Gatherings is marked by humility, service, and stewardship. Leaders are not elevated above others but walk alongside the women they serve (Matthew 20:26, 1 Peter 5:2-3).
Faithful Formation
We prioritize spiritual growth that is rooted in Scripture and lived out in daily life. Our desire is not to rush maturity, but to nurture steady, faithful growth in Christ (1 Peter 2:2, Philippians 1:6).
Respectful Unity
We honor the diverse backgrounds, experiences, and seasons of life within our community while remaining anchored in biblical truth and mutual respect (Romans 5:7, Ephesians 4:3).
Stewardship and Sustainability
We value wise use of time, resources, and energy, trusting God to guide growth at a pace that preserves joy, family, and faithfulness (Romans 12:13, Hebrews 13:2).
Statement of Faith
This statement reflects the beliefs that guide the program’s curriculum, teaching materials, and speakers on specifically spiritual topics. No attendee is required to personally affirm these beliefs to participate in any gathering—formal or informal.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is God’s inspired, inerrant, and trustworthy Word. It guides what we believe and how we live (2 Timothy 3:15-17).
God
We believe in one God who has always existed in three coequal Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; 1 Corinthians 8:6; 2 Corinthians 3:17; Colossians 2:9).
Humanity
We believe God created people to be in relationship with Himself and to participate in His good creation. Because of sin, our relationship with Him has been broken (Genesis 1–3; Matthew 5:20).
Salvation
We believe our only hope of being restored to God is through Jesus Christ—God’s Son, who died for our sins and rose again. Anyone who puts their trust in Him receives new life (John 3:16; John 14:6).
Baptism
We believe baptism is a command of Jesus for all believers. We believe it is an important step of obedience and declaration of our new life in Christ (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3–4).
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit dwells within every believer, transforming us, empowering us to obey God, and helping us live out our faith (Acts 2:38; 1 Corinthians 6:19; Romans 8:26).
The Church’s Mission
We believe the church is called to share the good news of Jesus with the world and to help believers grow in their faith (Matthew 28:18-20).
